The Sport Management Educator: Strategies for Teaching
The value and placement of sport in society is significant and has created an extensive need for qualified practitioners of sport. With over 800 academic programs of sport management in North America, there is great demand for qualified sport management educators. Unfortunately, discipline-specific resources to develop adept educators in the field are lacking.
The Sport Management Educator: Strategies for Teaching works to fill this void as a discipline-specific resource that offers insights, suggestions, and strategies to help sport management educators discover, develop, and deliver quality educational content in a higher education setting, with the goal of helping instructors know what to think about, what questions to ask, and what options are available in course planning and development. The content within this text collates a variety of information, as well as draw on the author’s years of experience, to provide instructors strategies, knowledge, and guidelines to become more effective in their teaching.
