Jonathan N. Metzler is Assistant Professor of Health & Kinesiology and Co-Coordinator of the sport psychology graduate program at Georgia Southern University. Jon has published manuscripts in the Journal of Applied Sport Psychology, the Journal of Sport & Exercise Psychology, Measurement in Physical Education and Exercise Science, and Structural Equation Modeling and has delivered presentations at several multinational professional meetings. His research has focused primarily on achievement motivation, emotion in sport, coaching behaviors, and psychometrics. He also serves as associate editor for the Journal of Coaching Education. Jon has delivered sport psychology services to intercollegiate, Olympic, and professional athletes including some who participated in NCAA Division I National Championships and the Olympics. A member of Association for the Advancement of Applied Sport Psychology since 1998, Jon has served as student regional representative and on the Graduate Training, Organizational Outreach, and Accreditation Committees.
